This piece was loosely inspired by the Mike Nichols film The Graduate. I love Dustin Hoffman's performance in this movie, and the way he (often hilariously) bares his deep infatuation and heartbreak.

- As an illustrator, I am most inspired by dramatic stories and themes. I love to take a concept, however broad or abstract, and convey it through character and setting, color, light and shadow. My goal is to heighten the drama of the scene while still portraying the truth of the story. In addition to illustration, I am also an actor, and I think this informs my style and approach to making a picture.
