- As an illustrator, I am most inspired by dramatic stories and themes. I love to take a concept, however broad or abstract, and convey it through character and setting, color, light and shadow. My goal is to heighten the drama of the scene while still portraying the truth of the story. In addition to illustration, I am also an actor, and I think this informs my style and approach to making a picture.

Hi, thanks for the compliment! I mostly use acrylic- and watercolor-inks and gouache, but lately I've also been using colored pastels and pencils.
i use watercolor and ive been wanting to get some bolder colors with it. i don't really get how to use acrylic too well though. what brand inks do you use?
I don't use acrylic tube paints, but I mix it up between various inks like Daler Rowney Acrylic Ink, Dr. Ph. Martin's India Ink, Rapidograph ink, and anything that looks cool in the store.
well thanks man. i need to check those out sometime. i've heard of martin's ink. after i get done with a couple of pieces im working on ill post them up!
